SkinIndex and other ingredient checkers
Every service reads an ingredient list a little differently. We wrote one page for each of four well-known ones: what it does well, where SkinIndex is different, and when to pick which.
An alternative to INCIDecoder: ingredients and prices on one page
INCIDecoder, now INKEEDecoder, explains thousands of ingredients in English and reads an ingredient list from a photo. SkinIndex shows the ingredient list next to prices at Finnish online stores.
An alternative to SkinSort: ingredients and prices on one page
SkinSort analyzes ingredient lists in English, and you can share the analysis of your own list as a link. Some features are part of its paid Premium. SkinIndex needs no account and shows prices.
An alternative to SkinCarisma: ingredients and prices on one page
SkinCarisma gives ingredients a safety rating based on EWG data and opens a product from its barcode. SkinIndex gives no score: it says what the list contains and shows prices.
An alternative to What's in my jar: ingredients and prices on one page
What's in my jar decodes a pasted ingredient list and estimates each ingredient's concentration. SkinIndex shows each ingredient's position on the list as it is, next to the product's prices.
