Fragrance-free sunscreens

What this label means and how we count it

On this site fragrance-free means one thing: the product's ingredient list carries no Parfum or Fragrance entry and none of the 26 fragrance allergens the EU requires to be declared separately — linalool, limonene, citronellol, geraniol and the rest. The reading is computed from the list, not taken from the brand's own claim. The difference is real: “fragrance-free” on a box does not rule out essential oils, which are natural fragrance and do not have to be declared as Parfum. Those are a flag of their own here, and you can filter them out too. Only products whose ingredient list we have actually read appear on this page — a product whose list we do not hold is not fragrance-free, it is unknown, and it is left off.
