Questions about this page

How were the products on this page chosen?

A product is listed here when it is a facial cleanser and its name says cleansing gel, gel cleanser or jelly cleanser. An ingredient list does not tell you whether a product is sold as an oil, a balm or a gel, but the name does. When a name gives two formats, such as “balm to milk”, the first one decides: what is in the jar. A micellar water stays a micellar water even when the name mentions oil.

What is the difference between an oil, a balm, a gel and a micellar water?
