Cleansing oils

A product is listed here when it is a facial cleanser and its name says cleansing oil or oil cleanser. An ingredient list does not tell you whether a product is sold as an oil, a balm or a gel, but the name does. When a name gives two formats, such as “balm to milk”, the first one decides: what is in the jar. A micellar water stays a micellar water even when the name mentions oil.

Texture and how you use it. Oils and balms go on dry skin and turn milky with water, a gel goes on damp skin and is rinsed off, and micellar water is wiped on with a cotton pad. We do not claim any format suits skin better. We tell you what is in each product's ingredient list and what it costs.
