Foundations for mature skin

On this page foundations for mature skin are chosen by their ingredient list. These are the foundations with no drying alcohol among the first ten ingredients and a humectant among the first eight, such as glycerin, butylene glycol, propanediol, hyaluronic acid, panthenol or aloe. Left out are those with kaolin, talc or silica among the first five, because those are mattifying powders. A light, luminous foundation is often recommended for mature skin, but texture and finish cannot be read off an ingredient list, so the rule only tells you what sits near the top of the list. We do not claim that a foundation smooths fine lines or blurs wrinkles.
